'Rikshavodu', directed by Kodi Ramakrishna, was released in 1995. Led by Megastar Chiranjeevi, it had Nagma and Soundarya as the female leads.

In a recent interview, dialogue writer Thotapalli Madhu revealed that Jayasudha wouldn't have played Chiranjeevi's mother in the movie had she not been offered hefty fee. "When Jayasudha emerged as the top choice for the role, producer Kranthi Kumar expressed doubt, stating she wouldn't agree to the film. I assured him I would persuade her. Upon meeting her, she initially expressed reservations about Kranthi Kumar meeting her expectations. I encouraged her to state her desired figure, which turned out to be Rs 15 lakh. Without hesitation, I assured her it could be arranged. Consequently, she was paid the sum for a 5-day schedule," Madhu said.

In those days, the rumored remuneration Chiru received was around Rs 1.5 Cr. Calculating on a per-day basis, Jayasudha undoubtedly earned more than Chiru did for 'Rikshavodu'.

We can only imagine how much Jayasudha must have made by doing films like 'Amma Nanna Oka Tamilammayi', 'Bommarillu' and 'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu'.
