An artist has essayed prominent roles in two of this week's releases. Laxman Meesala of 'RX 100' fame is the one. In 'Krishnamma', he plays Koti, one of the main leads of the revenge action drama. In 'Aarambham', the offbeat sci-fi melodrama, Laxman is seen as a friendly, gentle prisoner named Ganesha.
The two movies come with contrasting sensibilities. In 'Krishnamma', Laxman's brief was to be relaxed in the first half and vengeful in the second half. In the other movie, his brief was to look more or less puzzled and surprised in most of the scenes. He has pulled off both roles with equal finesse without overdoing it.
Last year, Laxman was seen in Ajay Bhupathi's 'Mangalavaaram' in the role of a gossip-monger who fakes blindness. More recently, he was seen in 'Tantra'. He is also known for his appearances in films like 'George Reddy', 'Falaknuma Das' and 'Palasa 1978'.
