If the Day 1 collections of two of the Dasara releases in Telugu are anything to go by, they are going to have a difficult period.
Gopichand-starrer 'Viswam' earned a share of less than Rs 1 Cr on its release date (October 11). The Sreenu Vaitla directorial is jointly produced by People Media Factory and Venu Donepudi. 'Viswam', however, registered decent collections on Day 2, which was a Dasara holiday. Will it hold its ground from Day 4 (Monday)? Unless it does so, it will end up being a disaster.
'Maa Nanna Superhero' is said to be Sudheer Babu's yet another zero share movie. You read it right. 'Harom Hara', given its genre, at least stood some decent chance. 'MNS', being a multiplex movie, has been a total washout like 'Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali', 'Hunt', and the messy 'Maama Maascheendra'.
This Dasara has been a disappointment. 'Viswam', being the biggest release, should have raked in decent moolah. Exhibitors must now count on the Diwali releases, mainly 'Lucky Baskhar'.
