After playing commercial roles in movies like 'Pushpa: The Rise', Rashmika Mandanna is essaying a serious role in an upcoming pan-South India movie. Starring Dulquer Salmaan as a soldier, the film is being directed by Hanu Raghavapudi (of 'Andala Rakshasi' fame).
On Tuesday, Vyjayanthi Movies' Aswini Dutt announced that the star actress is playing a Kashmiri Muslim girl named Afreen. Her get-up is typical of the region she hails from in the movie. With a hijab on, Afreen is seen in front of a vehicle with a broken window.
It seems the 'Bheeshma' star is playing a brave girl who rails against terrorism in the Kashmir valley.
Mrunalini Thakur is the film's heroine. Vishal Chandrasekhar and PS Vinod are its music director and cinematographer, respectively.
