At this week's SIIMA Awards ceremony in Dubai, Anand Deverakonda's exceptional performance in 'Baby' was recognized with the Best Actor Critics award. The rising star, presented the award by Rana Daggubati, showcased his talent through a deeply moving portrayal in the Sai Rajesh directorial released in 2023.
The 'Pushpaka Vimanam' actor remembered that Vijay Deverakonda, too, had received his first SIIMA Award from the hands of Rana Daggubati. He poetically cited Natural Star Nani's words that life comes full circle for some individuals.
He described 'Baby', which co-starred Viashnavi Chaitanya, as the turning point for those associated with it. He profusely thanked producer SKN in his speech.
"People often asked if I was here to ride my brother Vijay's coattails. This SIIMA Award provides the actual answer. I am grateful for the love 'Baby' has received, and I am dedicated to acting as long as audiences continue to appreciate the magic of cinema," Anand added.
The 'Middle Class Melodies' actor has been a growing talent, film after film. Anand Deverakonda was recently seen in 'Gam Gam Ganesha'.
