Mahesh Babu has praised Dhanush's 'Raayan' in a glowing social media post. His post raised a toast to Dhanush's "stellar" acting and directorial talent.
While Mahesh Babu continues to endorse many Tamil movies (he has done similar posts in the past), Tamil heroes who are much smaller in their range than him stay away from praising Telugu movies. It has been a one-way thing from Tollywood to Kollywood.
Dhanush himself has not praised any noted Telugu movie in recent years. As per box-office analyst Deepak Kodela, he didn't even share the posters related to Akkineni Nagarjuna and Rashmika Mandanna, his 'Kubera' co-stars.
On top of it, Dhanush recently spoke in Tamil at the pre-release event of Raayan's Telugu version. "Why not English, if he doesn't know Telugu?" a Netizen asked.
Dhanush and his Kollywood colleagues are biased against endorsing non-Tamil movies. For that matter, even the Tamil audience don't encourage even top-class non-Tamil movies. 'Baahubali' is more of an exception, not the norm.
