A new film titled ‘Bebbuli’ starring Prashanth and
Meera Jasmine is taking shape in Telugu and Tamil languages. This movie is being directed by Prashanth’s father Thyagarajan. ‘Bebbuli’ is the remake of Thyagarajan’s super hit film ‘Malaiyur Mambattiyaan’. The Telugu version of this movie titled ‘Kondaveeti Naagu’ was released in 1983. Krishnam Raju and Radhika were the lead pair in that film.
According to Thyagarajan, “We are filming this movie in a prestigious manner. Thaman’s music is sure to grab the audience’s attention. We shot the film in deep forests in Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. ‘Malayur Mambattiyaan’ was screened for 250 days. Even today some of them will address me as Mambattiyaan. I believe that ‘Bebbuli’ will earn Prashanth also a good reputation. The film was produced with a budget of Rs 15 crores. The shooting has been complete and the film is right now in post production works. We are planning to release the songs in 2nd week of December. One can observe the workmanship of technicians from 24 crafts. I’m very confident that ‘Bebbuli’ will impress all kinds of audience.”
