Its wedding season in Chennai now and when clubbed with Kollywood, two important weddings took place in Sunday, 3rd July, 2011. The grand wedding of hero Karthi and Ranjani took place in a traditional manner in Codissia Trade Fair Complex, Coimbatore.
Karthi tied nuptial knot to Ranjani at 6.35 AM in the presence of his father Siva Kumar, mother Lakshmi, brother Surya, sister-in-law Jyothika and sister Brindha. Other prominent guests from the Tamil film industry include Prabhu, K S Ravi Kumar, Bala, music director Shankar Ganesh, Radhika, Poornima, Nagma, singer Suchitra, etc.
On the other hand, director Selva Raghavan of ‘7G Brindavanam’ fame tied the nuptial knot to Geetanjali, d/o Ex-Advocate General Raman, at 9.15 AM in Chennai. This wedding was attended by AVM Saravanan, industrialist AVM Ramaswamy, Maniratnam, his wife Suhasini, cricketer Srikanth, etc.
