‘People’s War’ produced and directed by R Narayanamurthy is scheduled to release on September 6th. Srihari and Posani Krishna Murali are playing the central roles. In a press meet held on Thursday Narayanamurthy said, “People’s War is based on the battle against Thermal Power Project in the surrounding villages of Sompeta and Kakarapalli.
Srihari is essaying the role of Guna Joga Rao who sacrificed his life in this movement. The way the state and central governments are handling this issue are the main antagonists in this film. The audio which was recently released got very good response. Some political leaders are preaching the public not to use farming lands for industries. I even appreciate Chandrababu Naidu and Dokka Manikya Varaprasad for supporting the farmers demand Vanpick to return their lands. But the policies implemented by their governments are the impact of all these issues.”
