AVM Production banner made a media announcement that their ‘Shivaji 3D’ is all set to hit theaters worldwide on 12.12.12 marking superstar Rajnikanth’s birthday. The run time of the film has been cut short in the 3D version. This Rajni-Shriya starrer political thriller created history by becoming a sensational box-office hit in 2007. Creative director Shankar directed this film. A R Ramhan’s musical scores in the film also became sensational hit worldwide. The film also swept five filmfare awards – Best Musician-AR Rahman, Best Cinematographer-K V Anand, Best Art Director-Thota Tarani, Best Villain-Suman and Best Comedian-Vivek.
Rajnikanth’s ‘Vikramasimha’ was earlier planned for this release date. But due to extensive post-production works, it got postponed. However, Rajni fans will not be disappointed as they are going to see their matinee idol in 3D version, which is going to be the biggest treat from the super star on his birthday.
