Kannada actress Ramya aka Divya Spandana (30) created history today by becoming the youngest elected Member of Parliament from Mandya constituency in Karnataka Bypoll elections. The beautiful actress joined the Youth Congress Party in 2011.
Ramya started her film career in 2003 with a Kannada film ‘Abhi’ and established herself as one of the most sought-after heroines in Kannada film industry by starring alongside lead actors. She is also called as the Sandalwood Queen and Golden Girl of Kannada cinema. Ramya did couple of Telugu films like ‘Abhimanyu’ and ‘Amrutha Varsham’ and also quite a few Tamil movies. She is currently filming four projects in Kannada simultaneously. Ramya is also the brand ambassador of the cricket franchise team Royal Challengers Bangalore.
