Introducing Havish as hero, ‘Genius’ directed by Omkar and produced by Dasari Kiran Kumar with story written by Chinni Krishna was recently released and running in theaters with success talk. On this occasion Dr Dasari Narayana Rao spoke to the media and gave his opinion about the film.
He said, “I’ll always be the first one to encourage good films. The reason for the film’s success is the team work. However, the first credit goes to Chinni Krishna for providing a wonderful story. He had earlier written commercial stories. But this is a different one. In general, the filmmakers have to do some kind of gimmicks when the story is not strong. This movie has the content equivalent to my film ‘Osey Ramulamma’. Producer Dasari Kiran Kumar spent around Rs 11 crores only by trusting the story. I appreciate his guts for that. The film was a huge success only because he was able to make the movie with required elements as per the story demand. ‘Genius’ will be a lesson to those youth who spoiled their lives in the confusion state without knowing the right path. This movie showcases how people spoil their lives by crazily following the film heroes, cricket players and political leaders. I released ‘Genius’ in Ceded area only because I was confident about it. The response for the film is increasing day by day. This movie has to become yet another ‘Prathighatana’ in the form of success. Omkar did a wonderful job despite this being his first directorial venture. I whole-heartedly congratulate the film unit for providing one such wonderful film.”
