‘Manoharudu’ is Shankar’s forthcoming flick featuring Vikram as protoganist. Known for directing films with giant budget, Shankar revealed that the budget of this film is below Rs 100 crores only even though Vikram declared it as Rs 150 crores few weeks back. Shankar is directing the film in Tamil as ‘I’ and the same is being dubbed into Telugu as ‘Manoharudu’. According to him 70% of the shooting including four songs have been completed. It’s a romantic thriller made by Aascar Films with Amy Jackson as leading lady opposite Vikram. Malayalam star Suresh Gopi is playing a pivotal role in this film. P C Sreeram is handling the camera and A R Rahman is providing the soundtrack.
