Dasari Narayana Rao is successfully completing 40 years of his film journey as director on 23rd March. The filmmaker who has so far directed more than 140 films, made his directorial debut with ‘Thatha Manavadu’ with which he saw his first success. The film featured SV Ranga Rao and Raja Babu in title roles and the film turned out to be a blockbuster and also won the prestigious Nandi Award. He introduced Raja Babu to Telugu film industry who eventually became a top comedian. Apart from him he introduced several top stars like Mohan Babu, Jayaprada, R Narayana Murthy, etc. Some of Dasari’s memorable blockbuster movies are ‘Bobbili Raja’, ‘Sardar Paparayudu’, ‘Meghasandesam’, ‘Premabhishekam’, ‘Mamagaru’, ‘Chillarakottu Chittemma’, etc. Ragalahari team congratulates the veteran director on completing four decades of Telugu cinema service as director.
