The recent two hits ‘Naayak’ and ‘Baadshah’ for Kajal promised few good projects in Tollywood. Yes, the charming actress has even entered negotiations for the female lead role alongside Pawan Kalyan in ‘Gabbar Singh 2’ which will be directed by Sampath Nandi. However, she missed the opportunity just by increasing her remuneration. Film Nagar sources said, Kajal, who rose to stardom with ‘Magadheera’, used to receive Rs 70-80 lakhs per film till recently. But with back-to-back super hits, this sought-after heroine demanded big bucks, say about Rs 1.25 crores for ‘Gabbar Singh 2’. Hence the makers have to turn it down as they refused to meet her salary demand and are now in search of another heroine. ‘Gabbar Singh 2’ is likely to start in June, but poor Kajal, having worked with Ram Charan and Allu Arjun from mega compound, still misses the golden chance of being cast opposite
Pawan Kalyan.
Kajal is yet to sign a film in Telugu after ‘Baadshah’ even though she has two films in Tamil. She is currently doing a cameo role in Ram Charan’s ‘Yevadu’.
