‘Khaidi’, which was a major turning point in megastar Chiranjeevi’s career, has successfully completed 30 years today. This blockbuster movie directed by A Kondanda Ramireddy with an ensemble cast of Chiranjeevi, Madhavi, Sumalatha, Rao Gopal Rao, Ranganath, Nutan Prasad and P L Narayana was released on October 28th 1983. Songs composed by music director K Chakravarthy are evergreen hits, especially the romantic songs ‘Ragulutundi Mogali Podha…’ and ‘Idemitabba…Adhi Adenuabba….’. Lok Singh’s cinematography played vital role and received rave reviews. Similarly Parachuri Brothers created new trend with their dialogues in this film. K Dhanunjaya Reddy, S Sudhakar Reddy and K Narasa Reddy were the joint producers of this sensational hit film. ‘Khaidi’ brought Chiranjeevi the star status by crossing Rs 1 cr mark in collections in those days.
Now the latest we hear is that one of the leading producers bought the remake rights of this film recently. It's remained to be seen with which hero he is planning to do this remake.
