“My father’s is my inspiration for portraying Bangarraju character in ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ which is set in the village backdrop”-King Nagarjuna.
Natasamrat Akkineni Nageswara Rao had done many wonderful roles in his career. But still his getups in village backdrop films are very special. Akkineni films in village backdrop have caught much attention from audience. Following his father’s footsteps, Akkineni Nagarjuna also appeared in village getup and entertained his fans and audience. Now, King Nagarjuna will once again appear in dhoti. Nagarjuna is essaying two versatile roes and producing a family entertainer ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ under Annapurna Studios banner directed by debutant Kalyan Krishna Kurasala.
Interesting thing is that King Nagarjuna has worn the dhoti which was used by his father Akkineni Nageswara Rao in his films of yesteryear. In the same way, Nagarjuna has used the wristwatch which was bought by his father in 1959.
“Bangarraju character in ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ has given much satisfaction. My father’s is my inspiration for portraying such characters which is set in the village backdrop. The entire shoot of the film has been completed. At present post-production works are in progress. We are making preperations to release the film for this Sankranti,” said Nagarjuna.
King Nagarjuna, Ramya Krishna, Lavanya Tripathi, Nassar, Dr. Brahmanandam, Sampath, Nagababu, Sapthagiri, Posani Krishna Murali, Hamsanandini, Anasuya, Deeksha Panth, Banerjee, Surekha Vani, Duvvasi Mohan and Rama Raju and some others are part of the film.
