‘Rudramadevi’ that has
Anushka Shetty in the lead, is set to hit screens worldwide on October 9. On Thursday it has got tax exemption from the Telangana government. On this occasion, the film unit has arranged press meet.
Speaking at the press meet, Dill Raju said, “’Rudramadevi’ is Gunasekhar’s dream project. He has put in lot of efforts for making this film. I travelled alongside with him for one year. Like everyone else, I too was in dilemma about the film. But after listening to the script, Sirish, Lakshman and I were thrilled and travelled along with him. Though there were many obstacles in making the film, Gunasekhar has readied the film for release. The film was made in 2D and 3D formats. Watching the film in 3D is a wonderful experience. Director-cum-producer Gunasekhar, Neelima Guna and I met Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) at his office this morning and requested him for a rebate on the entertainment tax for the historical movie ‘Rudramadevi’. He is said to have agreed for the same. Thanks to KCR for his encouragement. Similarly, we are going to meet Chandrababu Naidu tomorrow. We are very confident that he too encourage us.”
Director-cum-producer Gunasekhar said, “It’s a historic turn. When we requested KCR garu for the exception of tax, he immediately issued a Government Order granting ET exemption. Saying just thanks to him might be a small word. It shows his interest on films. His support is unforgettable. In the same way, media support is also unforgettable. Tomorrow we are going to meet Chandrababu Naidu. We hope that he too encourage us.”
On this occasion, Anushka expressed his gratitude to Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao for exempting the film from entertainment tax and said, “Gunasekhar garu worked on the script for 9 years. As a director and as a producer, it is not an ordinary thing to make such a historical film. Similarly, each ad everyone in the team worked hard for the film for two and half years. The film will be beyond audience expectations. I request everyone to encourage us.”

Prestigious project ‘Rudramadevi’, which is directed by Dynamic director Gunasekhar, releases in cinemas on October 9. South Indian top actress Anushka will be seen as a great Kakatiya ruler Rani Rudramadevi, while Stylish Star Allu Arjun will be seen in the role of Gona Ganna Reddy in this high budget India’s first historical stereoscopic 3D bilingual film.
