‘Player’ has completed all formalities including censor and received ‘U/A’ certificate. It is coming to the audience on October 22, on the auspicious occasion of Dasara. The film is being produced by Yamuna Kishore and Jagadish Kumar Kalluri on Dream Merchants banner with Gnana Sagar as director. Parveen Raj, who is known to the audience as an actor through the Ad Triplex soap, is making his debut as hero through this film.
On this occasion, director Gnana Sagar said, “’Player’ is the thriller film which is set in the backdrop of Bangkok. Nagineedu has played an amazing role as professor in this film. His role will stand out as special attraction to the film. Despite being new to acting, Parveen Raj has given wonderful performance as an experienced actor. With the confidence that Telugu people will always encourage good stories, we are bringing this film.”
Producers Yamuna Kishore and Jagadish Kumar Kalluri said, “’Player’ has completed the censor formality and received U/A certificate. Censor board members raised the film to the skies. Every Ad which comes from our banner will be with good quality. We did two Ads in Bangkok. The film was shot in Bangkok to add richness to the normal film. The story also needs Bangkok background. It’s an amazing story and we are sure the film will impress the youth. So far we have not seen such a story in Telugu films. Story itself is the highlight of the film. We felt that Parveen Raj is perfectly apt to the story and therefore we have chosen him to play the lead role. It is beyond doubt that he will stand out as a good artist in future. He performed in par with senior artist like Nagineedu. He also received appreciations from senior actress Sita by playing mother sentiment scenes with her wonderfully. We know the talent of Gnana Sagar. He is our student. Though Gnana Sagar is a new director, he has crafted each and every scene wonderfully. Cameraman Suresh helped him a lot. ‘Player’ came out wonderfully with their combination. Music composer Rajish Raghunath has provided music for over 150 Ads from our banner. Though the film has no songs, he has provided excellent background to maintain the suspense throughout the film. There is a great importance for the background score.”
Parveen Raj, Nagineedu, Seetha, Shahi Handi, Chanikya Sai, Tiru and Appaji Ambarish have played important roles in the film.
