Everyone is aware of the fact how successful was the Hindi film ‘2 States’ directed by Abhishek Varman in the year 2014 based on the novel penned by Chetan Bhagat. The film has received accolades trade unit, movie buffs and industry people as well that it is a must watch film again and again. Now the film is being remade in Telugu. Dharma Productions of Karan Johar and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment of Shajid Nadiadwala have produced this film. Venkat Kuncham, who worked as co-director at renowned director VV Vinayak, has acquired remake rights with the support of Vinayak. Interesting thing is that one of the production house of the film, Dharma Productions has not sold remake rights to any south Indian film industry so far. For the first time, the production house has sold the remake rights of ‘2 States’.
It is known to everyone that Abhishek Pictures, which tasted success in distribution department, has forayed into production field. Knowing that Abhishek is interested to produce films consecutively, Venkat Kuncham has taken the film ‘2 States’ to him. As the film was a big hit in Hindi and it has good content, Abhishek too came forward to produce this film. Abhishek Nama informed that they will soon announce the cast and crew details of the film.
