We all know that post the success of ‘Drushyam’, senior heroine and director Sripriya has come up with yet another visual wonder ‘Ghatana’. It is the remake of Malayalam super hit film ’22 Female Kottayam’. VR Krishna M is producing this film under Sun Moon Creations banner with Sripriya as director. Meanwhile, the film has completed the censor formality and received ‘U/A’ certificate from the censor board members. Makers are planning to release the film in October.
On this occasion, director Sripriya said, “The film ‘Drushyam’ starred by Venkatesh in Telugu and Kamal Haasan in Tamil, was a big hit in both the languages. ‘Ghatana’ is my next venture. The film depicts women are not weaker sex and they can do anything if they are undervalued. It’s a commercial film. Nitha Menon has given wonderful performance in the main role. The story of the film especially describes how a person reacts to the ordeal.”
Raj Kandukuri said, “The film has been made with a different and never touched before subject. The story deals with the problems faced by a gird who goes to other countries for nurse job. Lady-director Sripriya garu can only handle such kind of lady oriented subject.”
Producer VR Krishna M informed, “The film has completed censor formality and received ‘U/A’ certificate. We are planning to wrap up all formalities related to ‘Ghatana’ soon and release the film in October. We are extremely confident that the film which was a upper hit in Malayalam will become big hit in Telugu too.”
The movie casts have been portrayed by Nithya Menon, Krish J Sathaar, Naresh, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Kovai Sarala, Vidyullekha Raman, Anjali Rao, Janaki and Gauthami. The Music of the film is composed by Arvind Shankar and directed by Sripriya. The film is produced by VR Krishna.
