Kalakeya Prabhakar, who was introduced to Telugu audience with the film ‘Maryada Ramanna’, was seen in several films like ‘Dookudu’, ‘Gabbar Singh’, ‘Seema Tapakai’, ‘Dongata’, ‘Yamaho Yama’, ‘Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum’, ‘Doosukeltha’, ‘Aavu Puli Madhyalo Prabhas Pelli’, ‘DJ’ and ‘Patel SIR’. But his role in ‘Baahubali’ as menacing leader of the savage group has earned fame to him. He not only carved a special image for himself in Telugu, but also bagging several offers from Tamil and Kannada industries as well. Tanking Rajamouli garu for introducing him to the Telugu audience, Kalakeya Prabhakar said, “I will be indebted to Rajamouli garu forever. Rajamouli garu is the person who taken this common man to every nook and corner. He introduced me to Telugu audience by giving me a good role in ‘Maryada Ramanna’. He had given me another wonderful opportunity to prove my prowess by offering me a menacing villain role with kili Kili language in ‘Baahubali’. Post the super success of ‘Baahubali’, offers poured in for me from everywhere. I have bagged offers not only from Telugu industry, but also from Tamil industry. I am thankful to audience for encouraging me always.”
Currently, Prabhakar is playing the antagonist in actor-filmmaker Prabhu Deva’s upcoming Tamil film ‘Yung Mung Sung’. He is doing another film under the director of Prabhu Salmon. In Malayalam, he working for Mammootty sir’s film. In Kannada, Prabhakar is doing a film under Sunil Kumar Desai’s direction. In Telugu, Prabhakar alias Kalakeya will be seen in Balakrishna’s upcoming film as well.
