Vijay starrer Mersal has already turned out to be the biggest blockbuster in Tamil film industry in 2017 and it’s also one of the highest grossing Tamil films of all time with a total gross of Rs 225 crores so far. The Tamil version, which released on October 18, faced numerous hurdles prior to its release. And then, post release, the film was in news for its references to GST, which made headlines across the country. Despite all this, the film went on to become the biggest hit of the year and now, it’s all set to take the two Telugu speaking states by storm on November 9.
Adhirindhi is the 100th film to be made under Thenandal Studios Ltd banner and it has been produced by Murali Ramasamy & Hema Rukmani. The Telugu version is going to be released through Northstar Entertainment's Sharrath Marar, who is the strategical partner of the film.
The Telugu version, titled as ‘Adhirindhi’, will have a wide release in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and the film has already raised a lot of curiosity among the audiences. The film focuses on the corruption in the medical industry and Atlee has weaved an excellent story around this concept.
Directed by Atlee, the film stars Vijay in triple roles - a doctor, a magician, and another as a village panchayat president. Among many other highlights including Vijay's performance as a magician and spectacular action sequences, the flashback sequence is said to be the major highlight of the film. Apart from Vijay, Adhirindhi also features SJ Suryah in a stunning new avatar and he's going to make a huge impression as a villain in this action entertainer.
Adhirindhi also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha, and Nithya Menen in lead roles, apart from SJ Suryah in a villainous role.
Vijayendra Prasad and S Ramana Girivasan have worked on the screenplay, along with Atlee. AR Rahman has scored the music. G.K.Vishnu is the cinematographer, Ruban is the editor and Anal Arasu has composed the action sequences. Atlee has written the story, screenplay, dialogues, apart from directing it.
