Romantic thriller ‘PEMPAK’ (Prema Entha Madhuram Priyuraalu Antha Katinam), which grabbed everyone’s attention with the teaser and trailer, was supposed to release on September 15. Now the release got delayed. We hear is that makers have no option but to postpone it, to avoid box office clash since many films are hitting the screens on September 15 and star heroes’ films are releasing on Sep 21 and Sep 27. Meanwhile, the team gave assurance to release the film as soon as possible.
Informing the news, director and producer of the film, Govardhan G said, “Recently, we have screened the film ‘PEPAK’ for some prominent people. They have suggested us to postpone the release of the film since many films are hitting the screens on September 15 and star heroes’ films are releasing on Sep 21 and Sep 27. They suggested us not to kill the film ‘PEMPAK’ which has the capacity of minimum 4 weeks successful run, by releasing it on the wrong date. All our team members are working hard for the good outcome of the film from the past 1 year and we felt that there is nothing wrong to wait for few more days for the safe zone slot. We will announce the release date as soon as possible."
