Manchu Lakshmi starrer ‘Wife Of Ram’ has been selected for official screening at the prestigious Ottava Indian Film Festival. The festival will take place from June 13 to 17. The suspense thriller will hit theaters later this month. But, before the release of the film, it has got a rare honour. In Competition this year are 9 features (fiction), 2 documentaries and 5 shorts telling stories from over 9 cities or regions of India from the North to the South of the country, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Banaras and Rajasthan, as well as from the Indian diaspora in the United States.
OIFFA has declared Vijay Yelakanti’s directorial ‘W/o Ram’ as a socially conscious thriller which will give thrill feel to audience. Manchu Lakshmi will be seen in yet another interesting role named Deeksha. Deeksha’s husband gets murdered. She is an NGO activist. Deeksha untangles a mystery on her chase for justice.
The film’s director Vijay Yelakanti will travel to Ottava on June 10. He will meet various directors from different parts of the world during the festival. Interesting thing is that this is the first film which got been selected for OIFFA.
Vijay Yelankati is making his debut as director through this film. The film that also features Samrat Reddy, Adarsh Balakrishna and Srikanth Ayyar, is jointly produced by Manchu Entertainments and People Media Factory. Raghu Dixit is giving musical scores. Kruthi Prasad, Vidya Nirvana Manchu and Anand are presenters.
