The teaser of 'Colour Photo' was released by Vijay Deverakonda on August 5, by actor Vijay Deverakonda. Starring Suhas, Sunil and Chandini Chowdary, it has clocked more than 1 million views within 12 hours of its release. Directed by newcomer Sandeep Raj, it has music by 'Mathu Vadalara' composer Kaala Bhairava.
"We are happy with the online response to the movie. The YouTube views have delighted us," the makers suggest. Sai Rajesh of 'Hrudaya Kaleyam' and 'Kobbari Matta' has penned its story, which is based on "true incidents". Sunil is Rama Raju, a cop with vices, in the movie. Viva Harsha, who was most recently seen in films like 'Krishna And His Leela' and 'Bhanumathi Ramakrishna' (the Aha original), has played a comic role in the period romance set in a village. The film has also got action scenes, with fights by A Vijay.
Cinematography and editing are by Venkat R and Kodati Pawan Kalyan, respectively. Art direction is by Kranthi Priyam. Produced by Benny Muppaneni and Sai Rajesh, the film might have a direct-to-OTT release.
