A satirical film titled 'Wrong Gopal Varma' is being made presumably on the controversial and self-styled director Ram Gopal Varma. Directed by veteran journalist Prabhu, the film's First Look was unveiled on Wednesday.
"The film is a satire on an eccentric film director. Comedian Shakalaka Shankar is playing the main lead in it. We thank well-known woman's rights activist Devi for unveiling the look," the makers said today.
The activist lauded Prabhu for making a film on a director who "doesn't respect women". She also indirectly took a swipe at RGV, who she said makes movies to character-assassinate individuals.
The makers are planning to unveil a song titled 'Varma...Varma...Varma...O Wrong Gopal Varma' through a music label very soon. It's penned by the director himself.
Having completed its shooting, 'WGV' is currently wrapping up post-production works.
