The website and logo of Amma Nanna Anada Ashramam, an orphanage, was launched by yesteryear filmmaker SV Krishna Reddy. the launch event was attended by several humanitarians and Good Samaritans. Sashi Vangapalli, the well-known designer, donated Rs 10 lakh to the organization on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Krishna Reddy said that our society needs well-meaning people at a time when we are seeing deviant individuals everywhere. He lauded Gattu Shankar, the humanitarian, in his address. Atchi Reddy, the producer, who also attended the event, was all praise for Shankar's philanthropic efforts.
The speakers said that Gattu Shankar quit a lucrative career in Mumbai and dedicated his life to the welfare of orphans and other underprivileged individuals. "This organization started with just one person. It has grown from strength to strength over the years," he added.
