Director Sreekanth Addala has resumed the production works of 'Naarappa' in Hyderabad for the first time since the industry was locked down in March. The ongoing schedule is yet to see the participation of Venkatesh, the film's lead man.
Produced by D Suresh Babu and Kalaippuli S Thanu (of V Creations), the film has Priyamani as Sundaramma, Venky's wife. She is participating in the Hyderabad schedule with Rajeev Kanakala and Rao Ramesh, among others. The makers have said that the 'Ragada' actress' role will be remembered for long.
"Before the lockdown, we shot the film in Paaltur village in Uravakonda at Anantapur District and shot key action sequence at Kurumalai and in Therikaadu Red Desert near Thirichendur in Tamil Nadu," the producer said, saying that, with the present schedule, 80% of the shoot will be completed.
Besides some crucial scenes, portions of the climax are being shot. Karthik Ratnam of 'Care Of Kancharapalem' fame is playing Venky's son in the movie.
