'MAD', touted to be a new-age relationship drama, will be released in theatres on August 6. Its pre-release event was held today in Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion, lyricist Lakshmi Priyanka thanked the director of the movie for extracting quality content from her. She praised the tunes set by composer Mohith Rehmaniac.
Actress Indhu said, "The title is quite relevant to the plot. Our director is never stressed out. It was a pleasant experience working on 'MAD'."
Cinematographer Raghu Mandati said, "I thank director Laxman Meneni for this opportunity. It was a great experience working on the movie."
Executive Producer Eluru Sreenu said, "I have always been passionate about movies. When I wanted to be involved in movie-making, I got in touch with Laxman Meneni, the director of this movie. We waited for long to release 'MAD' only in theatres."
Music director Mohit Rehmaniac said, "There is a Hindi-language Sufi song in the movie. Singer Kailash Kher sang the song with a lot of feel. Unni Krishnan has sung a song for us after a gap in Telugu cinema. This is a musical film."
Director Laxman Meneni said, "Thanks to this movie, I have realized how involved one has to be in making a movie."
Producer Rama Satyanarayana said that 'MAD' is a youthful movie. He hoped that it is among the top 2 movies this week.
Rajath Raghav, one of the heroes, said, "If the content is good, nobody can stop 'MAD' from becoming a hit. In the beginning, meme-makers and others made fun of our movie. But, after listening to the songs and watching the teaser and trailer, they are praising our movie. I have previously acted in 'Srivalli'. Contrary to the gossip, I didn't invest in that movie. 'MAD' is a very important release for me."
Swetha Varma said, "I thank the producers for this great opportunity. The songs have clicked with the listeners. Although it is his first movie, Laxman Meneni has got a lot of grasp over the craft."
Spandana Palli said, "I had been wanting to act in a beautiful role like this for long. 'MAD' has been a dream come true."
