South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA), which has been held at various foreign locations over the past decade, is going to fete Mahesh Babu's 'Maharshi', Naga Chaitanya-Samantha Akkineni's 'Majili' and Nani's 'Jersey' in the upcoming edition. The Tamil-language film 'Asuran', which was remade in Telugu as 'Narappa', has also come in for nominations in several categories.

Here is the list of movies that are leading the SIIMA Nominations for the 2019 SIIMA in most of the popular categories:
Telugu:
'Maharshi' has received 10 nominations
'Majili', which was helmed by Shiva Nirvana, got 9 nominations
Gowtam Tinnanuri-directed 'Jersey' received 7 nominations
Tamil:
Dhanush-starrer 'Asuran' got 10 nominations
Karthi's 'Kaithi' got 8 nominations
Kannada:
'Yajamani', headlined by Darshan and Rashmika Mandanna is leading with 12 nominations
'Avane Srimannnarayana' got 9 nominations
Malayalam:
'Kumbalangi Nights' is leading with 13 nominations
SIIMA Chairperson Brinda Prasad today said that it has been a long wait due to the pandemic and that the upcoming edition will be held in September.
