The regular shoot of 'Godse', starring Satyadev Kancharana in the lead, began today (February 11). Starring Aishwarya Lekshmi as the heroine, it is directed by Gopi Ganesh Pattabhi. Produced by C Kalyan, the film has music by Sunil Kashyap.
Speaking about the movie, C Kalyan said, "This is the 80th film in my banner. I am enthusiastic to produce 100 movies. It was I who produced 'Jyothi Lakshmi' with Satyadev. Coming to 'Godse', it is a fantastic subject. It's related to education and will provoke the thinking of all parents and children."
"The film will trigger a healthy debate. The rationale behind the title will become clear once the film releases. Everyone is investing their soul into 'Godse'," he added.
The director said, "I got a green signal from the director as well as the hero as soon as they listened to the story. I am going to make Kalyan garu proud. Our film will voice the concerns of every educated person in our society. We are going to show a relevant point on the big screen. There is a powerful villain, too. Aishwarya Lekshmi is debuting in Telugu after rejecting several other films. 'Godse' is going to be a visual feast."
Satyadev said, "People want me to do 'Bluff Master 2' but 'Godse' is far more powerful than what the former can ever be. We are so very confident about the project. This is my second film with Pattabhi, the director. I thank producer Kalyan garu for his support."
The film also stars Sai Kumar, Sijju, Brahmaji, Prakash Nag, Ashok Kumar, Koteswara Rao and others. Cinematography is by Suresh Sarang. Art Direction is by Brahma Kadali. Fights are by Nabha. Arjun Thadela is one of the story writers.
