'Godse' was released in theatres last Friday. The Satyadev Kancharana-starrer introduced a fresh face named Prakash Nag in a negative role. A source says that the new artist is winning accolades for playing a smooth-talking politician with panache.
"Playing the character Ajay Saradhi was exciting. I had to look suave and sophisticated. As an antagonist, I had to do it right," Prakash Nag says.
When director Gopi Ganesh Pattabhi narrated the story, Nag was convinced of his vision. The central message (against unemployment and under-employment) pulled him towards 'Godse'. "As a first-time actor, I must thank my director for onboarding me for a well-etched role. The lead actors, the producer (C Kalyan) and other fellow artists were great to work with," Nag says, describing Satyadev as a measured actor.
Nag, a Telugu-speaking artist, has been a business consultant in the corporate sector. He has also held advisory roles at quite a few Multi-National Corporations in different countries. "I have dabbled in a wide range of fields, ranging from manufacturing to hotels and hospitality," Nag says, adding that he has worked in countries as different as US and Dubai. Born in Vizag, Nag comes from a family of army personnel.
In the coming years, Nag wants to do many more movies and also take up media-related assignments. "I like to play suspenseful characters that are both mysterious and intense," Nag says, adding that he is in talks for a few projects.
