After shining in the role of a middle-class girl in 'Middle Class Melodies', Varsha Bollamma will be seen in an urbane role in 'Stand Up Rahul'. Releasing her First Look today, the makers said that Sreya Rao is her name in the Raj Tarun-starrer. She comes with a weird hairdo in the entertainer. Wearing specs and braces, her character is a geek who is too conscious about how she looks.
Billed as a coming-of-age feel-good rom-com, this one is coming in the direction of debutant Santo Mohan Veeranki. The 'Power Play' and 'Orey Bujjiga' actor will be seen as a reluctant stand-up comedian in the film. "The male protagonist doesn't stick around. How he eventually finds true love and stands up for his parents, himself and his girlfriend is the crux," the makers have said.
Music is by Sweekar Agasthi. Cinematography is by Sreeraj Raveendran. Comedian Vennela Kishore has a key role. 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' fame Murali Sharma, yesteryear actress Indraja, director-actor Devi Prasad and Madhurima have pivotal roles.
