Pia Bajpiee, the multi-lingual actress, is bereaved. On Tuesday, her brother breathed his last while undergoing treatment at home in Uttar Pradesh's Farukhabad.
Earlier in the day, Pia took to Twitter and pleaded for a bed with a ventilator. "We are already in a mess. My brother is dying," she wrote.
Unfortunately, two hours later, the patient breathed his last, leaving his family shattered.
The news is tragic because of how a life that could have been saved couldn't be saved for want of health infrastructure. It only goes to show the extent of calamity that Covid-19 is wreaking in many parts of the country.
