It's known that 'Swara Madhuri' G Anand passed away recently. In Texax, US, several singersl held a tribute to pay a rich homage to the acclaimed playback singer. Speakers hailed him for making immense contributions to the world of music. Anand had given about 6500 performances.
The speakers felt sorry that Anand had died for want of proper medical care. They opined that it's essential for the government to provide a cushion to support artists.
The event was organized by Vamsi Global Awards and Santosham Film News from India and Sharada Akunoori from America. Damu Gedela from New Jersey said that an award will be instituted in Anand's memory.
Veteran actor and former MP Murali Mohan Maganti also participated in the online event.
