The Hindi-language movie 'Sanak' will be released on October 15 on Hotstar, the OTT platform. A hostage drama, its trailer is out.
Starring Vidyut Jammwal as the hero, the film comes with the caption 'Hope Under Siege’ in keeping with the genre. "A lone hero has set out on a mission of saving the love of his life and other hostages, from the perils of evil! Get ready to see this action thriller dipped in love," the makers said, giving a synopsis of the story.
The makers are hoping that the film will change the way the action-entertainment space in the format of a hostage crisis is going to be perceived.
Directed by Kanishk Varma, the actioner also features Bengali actress Rukmini Maitra, Neha Dhupia and Chandan Roy Sanyal, among others.
Talking about the film, Vidyut Jammwal said that he can guarantee the audience that 'Sanak' will inspire them to be a better version of themselves and to help people around them. Producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah said that our films haven’t explored the hostage drama space in depth and detail and ‘Sanak’ is coming as an answer.
