At the Oscars ceremony on Sunday, American actor, wrestler and former rapper John Cena was ‘naked’. His clotheless appearance was meant to build some elevation for the Best Costume Design Award. A range of opinions have been sparked by his 'naked' appearance.
For several hours, many presumed that Cena was completely naked and that he was using just an envelope to cover his privates. However, hours after the event, it emerged that Cena wearing a "beige-coloured garment to cover his private parts".
Had a similar stunt been attempted by a Bollywood celeb at a Filmfare Awards event, Indians would have mocked, ridiculed and cursed the Hindi film industry's 'cheap' tactics to stay in the limelight. However, since an American did it, Indians are finding it creative and bold. As for Americans and other Westerners, their sense of humour has long assumed a different quality and shade.
