The pre-release event of 'Natyam', a dance-based drama, was held on Saturday evening at Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad. 'RRR' actor Ram Charan graced the occasion as the chief guest.
To be released in theatres on October 22, it features Kuchipudi dancer Sandhya Raju as the protagonist. She is a debutante. "Sandhya Raju is debuting in multiple roles. Besides being an actress, she is also the movie's producer, movie choreographer, production designer and costume designer," the makers said.
The protagonist is a classical dancer named Sithara. Her aim is to narrate Kadambari story through her dance. However, her father is not fond of her dreams keeping her safety in mind.
Also featuring Kamal Kamaraju, Rohit Behal, Aditya Menon, Subhaleka Sudhakar and Bhanupriya, the film is directed by Revanth Korukonda.
With music by Shravan Baradwaj, 'Natyam' was shot in the backdrop of architectural temples of Hampi, Lepakshi, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
Its music is by Shravan Bhardwaj. Art Direction is by Mahesh Upputuri. Production Design is by Sandhya Raju.
