'Street Light', after completing all formalities, will be released in theatres in the third week of this month. Starring Tanya Desai, Ankith Raj, Kavya Reddy and yesteryear hero Vinod Kumar, it is written and directed by Viswa. Producer and distributor Sri Mamidala Srinivaas has produced it.
Speaking today, actor Vinod Kumar said, "I was both the hero and the antagonist in 'Mouna Poratam'. After several years, I have acted in one more such movie. 'Street Light' is a hot thriller. There are crime, romance, love and family emotions in the story. Sexual perversion is an aspect."
Vinod Kumar said that he has acted in more than 150 films so far. "I am glad to be doing these kinds of movies. This is my first movie in a long time," he added.
The producer said, "We haven't chosen the OTT release despite good offers. We are releasing it in both Telugu and Hindi. The CBFC has not given a single cut. They felt that the movie is quite glamorous.
Ravi Kumar has given superb cinematography, the producer said. Producer Bekkam Venugopal said, "Kodi Ramakrishna garu has given a number of hits to Vinod Kumar garu. I am glad that he is making a comeback with 'Street Light'."
Also featuring Chitram Sreenu, Dhan Raj, Shakalaka Shankar and others, its music is by Virinchi. Vishnu Sharma has written its story, dialogues and lyrics.
