Tamil superstar Vijay, the other day, hosted a dinner for his 'Beast' team somewhere in Chennai. The dinner was attended by director Nelson, who has been trolled by cinema fans for failing to make a good box-office 'beast'. Anirudh Ravichander, as well as Pooja Hegde, were conspicuous by their presence, although the latter has a near-zero contribution to the film's story.
'Beast' is considered a flop as far as the audience's feedback is concerned. In terms of collections, though, it must have recovered its investment if we assume that Vijay didn't take home Rs 80 Cr as a fee.
The 'Sarkar' and 'Bigil' actor, by hosting a dinner, has tried to wipe out the perception that 'Beast' has left a sour taste in the mouth of the team. A happy dinner and a joyful picture were all that were needed.
The lesson is this: Host a nice luncheon if your film flops.
