The team of 'Acharya' announced that Kajal Aggarwal's role has been completely axed. This announcement came just five days before the film's theatrical release.
The question is this: Why didn't the director or the producers think of saying it aloud weeks ago via social media? After all, the decision to axe her role must have been taken in advance? Because of the last-minute reveal, the news has become a talking point. No wonder that scribes are asking questions about Kajal's role again and again.

'Acharya' was written in 2018. It's funny that the core team realized that Kajal's role doesn't look well in the narrative only recently. Usually, directors/writers say that mistakes happen due to a lack of sufficient time. In the case of 'Acharya', time is not a constraint. Yet, they took a long time to realize something basic about the heroine's role. Wow!
