All disasters have supporters. Pawan Kalyan-directed 'Johnny' has got a few admirers. 'Acharya', too, has struck a chord with a fraction of the audience. These admirers are saying that 'Acharya' delivers a righteous message which we need to digest.
What is the message? Fight Adharma to establish Dharma. But can this even be called a message? Didn't we know it all the time? Nobody needs a movie to say the obvious thing. Hundreds of films have delivered the same message already, in different ways. 'Indra', 'Tagore', 'Khaidi No. 150' and 'Sye Raa' were also about propelling Dharma and defeating Adharma.
Even Koratala Siva has said that all films are about the hero waging a battle against evil. "My film only underlines the concept of Dharma," he said.
So, it is funny that some people are finding virtues in 'Acharya' as if it is the first film where the hero is concerned with Dharma.
