'Laal Singh Chaddha' is slated to head to theatres on August 11. The comedy-drama, starring Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Naga Chaitanya and Mona Singh, is produced by Aamir Khan Productions and Viacom 18 Studios. Directed by Advait Chandan, the film has Naga Chaitanya in a 30-minute role.
In a special video released today, we see the 'Thank You' actor talking about his role in the movie. He will be seen wearing mouth braces in the multi-lingual release.
"Bala was the original name of my character in the film. Balaram, Balakrishna and Balaraju were thought of. Everyone liked to go with Balaraju. Bodipalem was identified as my character's native place in the movie. So, he is called Balaraju Bodi," Chay said.
"Coming to the look, it took time to zero in on the moustache look. Even the mouth brace adds a unique layer to my character. It clicked really well," the 'Majili' star said.
When Aamir's character gets injured in the film, Chay gets emotional. "Chaitanya is a spot-on actor who is also a team player. His focus is always on the scene he is working on," Aamir said, lauding his co-star.
The film's hairdresser, too, praised Chay.
