'Virgin Story', starring Vikram Sahidev as the hero, will be released in theatres on February 18.
Speaking at the film's pre-release event, producer Lagadapati Sridhar said that youthfulness has a new angle in the movie. "Our film reflects the thinking of today's youths. At 16, girls and boys think that they have got wings. That's why the caption is Kothaga Rekkalocchena. Youngsters need romance in their lives. Otherwise, they will lose out on making life-long memories."
Producer Sirisha said, "This film is for today's youngsters reflecting their emotions and courage. Our banner has always been into producing movies that carry rich content. We are glad to be introducing our son Vikram as the male lead with this movie."
Director Pradeep B Atluri said, "Today's youngsters are always in haste. They are impatient about everything. Our film shows that youngsters need to focus on their career while also valuing pure love."
Vikram said, "Teen romantic comedies have always been made in Hollywood. But the Indian film industry has been lagging behind in the sub-genre. 'Virgin Story' seeks to fill the gap."
