'Darsakaratna', which is a biopic of Dasari Narayana Rao, was announced on Thursday. To be directed by Dhavala Satyam, the film will be produced by Tadivaka Ramesh. Efforts are on to kickstart the shoot very soon. Pre-production works are going on at a rapid pace currently. Image Films is bankrolling the biopic.
The producer, Ramesh, has previously bankrolled Srihari's hit movie 'Srisailam'. Speaking today at a presser to announce the biopic, the producer said that Dasari was a giant who reached the zenith in his craft. The biopic will draw from the incidents that happened in Dasari's life. "We are consulting many industry people. The script is shaping up really well. We want to make this as a great movie," the makers said.
The producer said, "Had it not been for the third wave, we would have already started the production works. A nationally reputed actor will essay the titular role. A well-known actress will essay Dasari Padma garu. We will be making the biopic as a pan-India film in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil. Senior technicians will be working on it."
