The humiliating failure of 'Acharya' (April 29th release) has been forgotten by Tollywood. The battered distributors are expected to get back their huge investments, thanks to Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan and Niranjan Reddy reportedly asking Koratala Siva to compensate them.
The bad spell of 'Acharya' died down soon, with Tollywood glowing brightly in May and the first week of June. There have been multiple hits, and the film business is looking up like anything!
'Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam', followed by 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' (some areas might not have fetched profits but it's a positive film business-wise, over all), 'F3', 'Major' and 'Vikram' have been hits. Five hits in five weeks is something the film industry needed the most. 'Vikram' is the only dubbed film, but since it is a Sreshth Movies release in the Telugu States, it is a success Tollywood can be proud of.
This success streak is likely to continue, with both 'Ante Sundaraniki' (June 10th release) and 'Virata Parvam' (June 17th release) looking like favourites.
July is even more interesting, it would seem. Maruthi-Gopichand's 'Pakka Commercial' on July 1 is a likely hit. The month is also likely to see more hits, with Naga Chaitanya's 'Thank You' (July 8th release), Ram Pothineni's 'The Warriorr' (July 14th release), 'Happy Birthday' (July 15th release), 'Karthikeya 2' (July 22nd release) and 'HIT 2' (July 29th release) looking like very promising movies.
