Bandla Ganesh was at the pre-release event of 'Chor Bazaar' on Wednesday evening. He was there to encourage budding actor and Puri Jagannadh's son Akash Puri, who he said will one day become a superstar. "He was born to become a star," the producer of films like 'Gabbar Singh' thundered.
However, in his over-enthusiasm to encourage the 'Romantic' actor, Bandla ended up offending the fans of the likes of Mahesh Babu. "I expected those actors who became superstars because of Puri Jagannadh, to support Akash Puri's movie. But they are too busy. If Akash becomes a star, it's they who will be at peril," Bandla said. Mahesh became a supestar with 'Pokiri'.
When hyperbole goes berserk, nobody takes the speaker seriously. The person enters the RGV territory, wherein his words carry only entertainment value. Bandla has finally forayed into that zone. After yesterday's speech, it is difficult to take his speeches seriously anymore.
