'Balagam', directed by Venu Yeldandi and produced by Dil Raju Productions, has been streaming on Amazon Prime Video. It is also playing in a large number of theatres in Nizam territory despite competition from 'Dasara'.
The news is that thespian Mohan Babu and actor-producer Vishnu Manchu have lauded the village-based drama starring Priyadarshi, Kavya Kalyanram and others. "The father-son duo appreciated the exceptional efforts and felicitated the team of the sleeper hit. As is known, the duo has been vocal supporters of fresh talent," a source says.
'Balagam', produced by Hanshitha Reddy and Harshith Reddy, has also won a couple of international awards. It is also billed to win a National Award, going by the widespread critical acclaim it has been receiving.
As for Mohan Babu, he will next be seen in 'Agni Nakshatram', starring his daughter Lakshmi Manchu in a leading role. The film is written by Diamond Ratnababu and directed by Vamsee Krishna Malla.
