'Pathaan' reportedly mopped up about Rs 71 Cr (nett) on its second day (Thursday) in India at the box office. The film is on its way to beating the record set by 'KGF 2' (in Hindi) last year.
Ram Gopal Varma has opened that the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer has successfully broken four myths. "One, theatre collections will never be great again in times of OTT. Two, SRK is a fading star. Three, Bollywood can never make a commercial blockbuster like the south masala directors. Four, it will take years to break the day 1 collections of 'KGF 2' (sic)," RGV tweeted.
If Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, too, score hits this year, it will be a complete return to form for Bollywood. SRK, too, needs to score hits with 'Jawan' and 'Dunki' to keep the graph high.
